PERIOD MAGAZINES is an independent international publishing platform dedicated to fashion, beauty, photography, identity, and contemporary visual culture.
Originally founded in Mexico in 2017 with the creation of PERIOD, the platform began as a creative project focused on men's fashion editorial and emerging talent. Over time, its vision expanded beyond a single magazine, evolving into a publishing platform encompassing three distinct editorial titles: PERIOD, NÜREN, and SKINS.
Following its relaunch in Asia, PERIOD MAGAZINES established its current base in Chengdu, China, continuing its development as an international independent publishing platform. Today, its publications has featured the work of thousands of photographers, models, stylists, designers, makeup artists, hair artists, and creative professionals from around the world.
Each magazine operates with its own editorial identity, visual direction, and submission process, while sharing a commitment to creative expression, original perspectives, and compelling visual storytelling.
Together, the three publications represent different approaches to fashion, beauty, and the human form, united under one independent publishing platform.

PERIOD is the original publication and the foundation of PERIOD MAGAZINES.
Dedicated to contemporary men's fashion, PERIOD explores menswear, personal style, portraiture, identity, and the evolving visual language of masculinity.
The magazine approaches fashion as more than clothing, examining the relationship between style, personality, culture, and self-expression. Its editorial direction embraces everything from refined tailoring and contemporary streetwear to avant-garde concepts and experimental fashion photography.

NÜREN
Women's Fashion · Beauty · Creative Expression
NÜREN is the women's fashion and beauty publication of PERIOD MAGAZINES.
Created with its own distinct editorial identity, NÜREN explores contemporary womenswear, beauty, styling, makeup, hair, portraiture, and the many expressions of modern femininity.
The magazine embraces a diverse approach to fashion and beauty, from understated elegance and refined editorial imagery to experimental styling, avant-garde concepts, and unconventional visual narratives.
At the heart of NÜREN is a commitment to editorial cohesion. Every element, from casting and wardrobe to lighting, makeup, composition, and final image selection, contributes to the story being told.
NÜREN provides a creative platform for photographers, designers, stylists, makeup artists, models, and visual storytellers who view fashion and beauty as forms of artistic expression.

SKINS
Male Form · Artistic Photography · Body & Identity
SKINS is the men's body and artistic photography publication of PERIOD MAGAZINES.
Dedicated to exploring the male form, SKINS examines the relationship between the body, identity, masculinity, confidence, vulnerability, and visual expression.
Through artistic nude and semi-nude photography, intimate portraiture, movement, and conceptual studies of the human form, the magazine presents the male body as a subject of contemporary photographic art.
SKINS embraces a wide range of artistic approaches, from minimalist and sculptural compositions to sensual, raw, experimental, and highly constructed visual narratives.
Rather than treating nudity as provocation, the publication emphasizes photographic intention, composition, lighting, and the expressive qualities of the human body.
SKINS offers photographers, models, and visual artists a dedicated platform to explore male physicality beyond the conventions of traditional fashion photography, maintaining an editorial focus on artistic expression rather than sexually explicit content.
FROM MEXICO TO CHENGDU
The story of PERIOD MAGAZINES began in Mexico in 2017 with the launch of PERIOD as an independent men's fashion publication.
What started as a creative project gradually developed into a broader editorial vision, eventually expanding to include NÜREN and SKINS as separate publications with their own identities and creative directions.
The platform's relocation and relaunch in Chengdu, China, marked a new chapter in its development, bringing together influences from different creative environments and strengthening its international perspective.
Today, PERIOD MAGAZINES operates from Asia while collaborating with contributors across the globe. This international approach reflects our belief that meaningful creative work is not defined by geography, established fashion markets, or conventional industry boundaries.

OUR EDITORIAL APPROACH
At PERIOD MAGAZINES, we believe independent publishing should provide opportunities for originality, experimentation, and creative collaboration.
We are drawn to photography and editorial stories that communicate a clear point of view. Strong technical execution is important, but equally valuable are creative direction, personality, visual cohesion, and the ability to communicate an idea through imagery.
Across our three publications, we seek work that feels intentional, contemporary, and memorable.
While PERIOD focuses on men's fashion, NÜREN explores women's fashion and beauty, and SKINS examines the male body through artistic photography, all three share a commitment to quality, individuality, and visual storytelling.
We also recognize that editorial photography is a collaborative discipline. Photographers, models, stylists, designers, makeup artists, hair artists, assistants, and other creative contributors are essential to the work we publish, and proper recognition of their contributions remains an important part of our editorial approach.
SUBMISSIONS & CREATIVE COLLABORATIONS
PERIOD MAGAZINES welcomes submissions from photographers, models, stylists, designers, and creative professionals worldwide.
Each of our three magazines maintains its own editorial direction and independently evaluates submissions according to the publication's visual identity and creative standards.
PERIOD accepts men's fashion and menswear editorials.
NÜREN accepts women's fashion, beauty, and related creative editorials.
SKINS accepts artistic male body photography, including nude and semi-nude editorial work.
Submissions are managed exclusively through the individual Kavyar profiles for each publication. Contributors are encouraged to review the editorial focus and submission guidelines of their chosen magazine before submitting.
Our goal is to provide a professional and accessible platform where established creatives and emerging talent can share work that deserves to be seen.
